I'll overwhelm 'serious boxer' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight round fight which will be broadcast live on the streaming platform.

British boxer Anthony Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "break" his opponent as the pair came face-to-face to publicize the upcoming heavyweight fight.

Former two time world title holder Anthony Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a mammoth mismatch - at Miami's arena on 19 December.

Boxer's Mentality

"I plan to break his face and damage his physique. I aim to demonstrate I'm superior," Joshua, 35, declared.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.

"I will seriously aim to injure him. That's my goal."

Respectful Interaction

In spite of those words, a composed Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - typically famous for his showmanship - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.

Paul instead attacked ex Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and described him as "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian declined a bout proposal.

Taking Aim at Fury

Joshua, in the meantime, criticized British rival Tyson Fury - and declined a large bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul win.

"[Paul] is better than Fury - he's present here," Joshua stated.

"I acknowledge that."

Serious Opponent

In spite of declaring he will damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua chose not to speak negatively about his opponent's boxing ability.

"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he said.

Paul's History

Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mostly fought mixed martial artists or declining opponents since turning professional.

He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.

Commercial Success

Nevertheless, the novice is still one of the sport's largest financial successes, frequently receiving massive paydays.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28 year old predicted a knockout win in rounds four or five and stated he would stop the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly under discussion for 2026.

"The next fight will be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul said.

Size Difference

As both boxers participated in the traditional face-off, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it highlighted just how surprising this whole event is - and how amazing it is that the bout is actually happening.
